A good conclusion to the story.

A drunken phone call home is usually not the best idea :)

Outstanding story.
European beer has a strange effect on some Americans. Some people will never lower their standards once they drink good ale, others long for the PBR of their homeland. After three years living and working in England, Germany, Italy, etc, I can’t stomach the beer I used to swill in my youth. I just wish I could find a good Yorkshire Bitter like I used to get in England.

Quick funny story. I was staying with some folks in Belgium. They were super nice and did everything to make the trip wonderful. On the last night they told me they had a surprise. Very proudly, one of them went out back and returned with... and CASE of Bud! That, I can assure you, took just about everything I had to force a smile and and a enthusiastic "Thank you so much!". AUGH!

Please tell me you haven't kept this piece of paper for the last 20 years?!

Heh.. no. Even if I had wanted to, I'm not nearly organized enough to keep it where I could remember its whereabouts. The note was recreated through the magic of Photoshop.

lololol. I enjoyed the story, made me laugh, a lot.

Glad you liked it! It was fun to write, too. I'll have to drop Mountain Man a note and let himknow that he's a guest star on Fox & Maus.
