We try to live in the same fashion. Not too much of any one thing... Except perhaps, bananas. The both love bananas and will always be up for them. We actually have to keep them out of sight if we want them to last more than a couple of days!

Ha! We do the exact same thing! I keep the "good stuff" out of sight until the "less desirables are gone form the plate. Somehow they seem to always have room for the stuff they love, but if you get the dinner progression out of order, they just can't seem to fit in the food you WANT them to eat!

I'm with you. I never could quite get my head wrapped around the notion of cold cuts for breakfast. I love visiting europe and could easily see my self moving there one day, especially to Germany, but breakfast is just one thing that I can't quite un-Americanize my self about. For me, breakfast means two eggs, toast, bacon and lots and lots of very black coffee.

My sister is like this. i think a visit to an open meat market as a child did it for her.

For me, I love fruits, and the occasional meat. Anything done to excess is not good, in my opinion.

he he, we have a girl just like this.

T. loves meat so much we had to hide it for a while if we wanted her to eat potatoes or rice for lunch as well. Even now, she will go for meat first. Unless there is pasta.

I can understand how your wife went off meat after having to face so much buffalo. I'm currently in Spain and I can tell you that I'm beginning to really crave fruit and fresh vegetables.

My wife and I have taken to going to the supermarket to buy muesli for breakfast so we can avoid the ubiquitous colds cuts that pass for breakfast here and everywhere else we've been in Europe besides Switzerland. I never thought I'd get sick of cold cuts but it has happened.

Apple sauce is an all purpose food!
bowl for breakfast with toast, side dish for pork, dessert, snack, ...
I think I may have eaten an apple sauce sandwich at one time ... although I probably did it quickly before it started seeping through the bread.

I don't care what other people eat ... as long as they leave me to gnaw on my bones in peace.
